I've been busy starting on Christmas gifts. I hope to give everyone at least one item I've made with my own little hands. So far I've completed ONE. How many weeks do I have til Christmas?!?
I'm feeling better, but not 100% yet. I'd appreciate your prayers.
I'm missing my kids and grandkids already...so who's coming for Spring Break? I'll be home for Christmas (probably 18th -1st), but I'm really gonna need to see ya' all by March. It's nice to have something to look forward to...

Jodi in DC

Hello all! I'm writing from the US Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. - for anyone that doesn't know already, I'm here for the fall semester. I'm interning for the Republican Whip, who is the 2nd highest Republican in the House of Representatives. My office is in the Capitol, which is the best part!! I am living with 30 fellow IU students in Silver Spring, Maryland, so I have about a 35 minute commute on the Metro (subway/train) each way. On Monday nights & Friday afternoons, I have a 2 hour class on Capitol Hill, taught by an IU Alum that is a consultant/lobbyist.
I'm coming back to Indiana on Nov. 16th for the Purdue/IU game in Bloomington (11/17), my birthday (don't forget!! ;-) 11/20), and Thankgiving (11/22). I haven't figured out when I'll be in Bloomington/Monticello/Lafayette, but I'll let you know when I find out!
Thanks, Shelley for setting up our family's cool, new blog!! :-D
What's happening with Michael & Noah
Michael turned 18yrs old on September 27th. He will be graduating from McCutcheon High School in May.
Noah just turned 16yrs old on October 23rd. He can't wait to get his license so he can drive his new truck that Granni Anne & Grandpa Ron got for him.
